Looking for a vocal coach and acting teacher who’s played for “Wicked” and “Mean Girls” on Broadway? Look no further!

On My Way to Broadway is for trained musical theater singers who want to improve their acting!

I’ve heard many casting directors say they’d “rather have an actor who sings, than a singer who acts”. That’s how important the acting is!

When you work with Zak, you will learn:

  • Acting beats: plotting out the arc of the song from start to finish

  • Substitution: how to find yourself within the character and their circumstances

  • How to handle situations where the music and the lyrics are saying quite different things!

  • Pick songs that will allow your personality to shine through!

Testimonials

“Zak is an amazing teacher for those who want to take their singing to the next level. His methods help singers greatly improve their ability to express intent and feeling while singing, among other things. I personally noticed a big difference after I started working with Zak, and honestly can't say enough praise. To put it simply, Zak's teachings make the difference between good singers and fantastic singers!”

-Ian Luk, University of Miami freshman.

“Working with Zak is an absolute joy! Zak is very attentive, clear, and supportive through it all. Anybody would be lucky to have him as a vocal coach and teacher, not only for the improvement and growth he helps provide, but the mutual celebration when I finally “nailed it”. Definitely take lessons with Zak if you want a fun, productive, and caring work environment. 10/10!”

-Josslyn Shaw, Southeast Missouri State graduate and Regional Theater Actress.

“Zak is an excellent teacher! He is very effective because he really sees things from the student’s perspective. He is quick to see problems and to offer solutions. He is very knowledgeable as well. And, he makes the lessons fun and enjoyable. I highly recommend Zak!”
